A great commercial for Google Chrome. If you haven’t heard of Google Chrome yet then I have to wonder in what age you live.

Personally I think it’s pretty great. It’s very hard to beat Chrome when it comes to casual browsing, and it is my choice of browser for that.

I’d like to welcome you to a new series of blog posts here where I’ll be interviewing various people of interest and asking them what games they grew up with and what was it that made those games special for them.

If you’d like to be interviewed in the same fashion and show off your favourite games from when you were growing up then get in contact with me and I’m sure we can work something out.

So without further ado, let’s get the ball rolling with Mathias Rehnman.

Mathias Rehnman is a 25 year old Austria based madman (strike that, 3D artist). A graduate of the University of Applied Sciences Hagenberg who relatively recently switched towards production of high quality CGI and storytelling from game modding.

He is currently working on several small scale CG projects of his own and a work-in-progress novella. Follow his irregular rants and showcase of skill at Nutty Fanboy Productions. More

Sometimes you get a crazy idea, and just sit down and make it happen in one go. And that’s exactly what happened last night. On my way home I decided that I should play around with making a Firefox extension for Upload Pie. But instead of just playing around and seeing what’s possible, I ended up finishing the first version of it. Happens sometimes I guess.

Basically what it lets you do is right click on an image and it will give you an option to upload it on UploadPie. It even copies the URL into your clipboard automatically so you can be even lazier than ever! If you want to try it out, here’s the link to Upload Pie Uploader at Mozilla’s Firefox Add-on repository.

Three hundred posts, I must say that I hadn’t noticed that this was about to happen until I looked at the dashboard and it said I had published 299 posts already. So for my 300th post I’ve decided to do something special. It’s actually something I’ve wanted to do for a while already, and that’s to post a little post about the history of rihardsonline. More

Upload Pie

While I was writing a blog post about how Upload Pie has served more than one thousand files already I realised that I hadn’t even done a single post about Upload Pie yet. So what is Upload Pie? Upload Pie is a simple to use image and text file hosting service. But it comes with a twist, when uploading a file you pick when it expires. Expiring in this case means that it gets deleted from the server without leaving any traces.

Now that I’ve done a proper introduction of Upload Pie we can talk more about its future. Personally there are three things I’d like to change about it. Clean up the HTML/CSS, change the upload form controls to something that will look the same across all browsers and platforms, and finally I’ve been thinking about adding a way to upload multiple files at once (a zip file for example which holds all the files you want to upload).

What about you? Most of you have at one point or another used an online image hosting service. What have you liked about them, and what not? Do you think there’s anything that should be changed about Upload Pie? Would you like more files to be supported by it?
