This is mostly for the people out there who have a blog, or post news items on webpages. Or for people who are interested into getting started into doing some blogging of their own. Has quite a lot of interesting articles about various topics.

Topics such as “Can You Make a Living Blogging?” and “Five Steps to a Truly Unique Blog That Attracts Readers and Revenue”, lots and lots of info there really. So head over to Matt Huggin’s Blog for the full list, I know that I will, and it would seem that I have quite a lot of reading to do.

So with some luck, hopefully things will change for the better on this blog, not that I’m complaining or anything, but maybe I’ll come up with some good ideas.

Contra 4 for the Nintendo DS

Holy cow, that’s one game franchise that I would have never thought that it would be resurrected. But it has happened, and I’m really happy that it’s for the Nintendo DS. Makes perfect sense really, considering that Contra is a side-scroller that relies more on the gameplay (or rather on being unbeatably hard game) than on the graphics.

And even then I must say that the graphics really look great. Sure it’s not 3D, doesn’t have the polygons and special effects that the DS can handle quite well, but it still looks great. Really colourful and lush backgrounds, and if the animation is good as well, then I’m really looking forward to buying this game.

Who am I really kidding, even if it ends up being a crap game I’ll buy it anyway, only so that I could play some more Contra, and probably die (and get angry) many times in the process.

Good news today. Something noteworthy happened. And that would be that Rockstar released the second (out of the three planned) trailer of Grand Theft Auto IV. Some interesting new things in this trailer. New effects, as well as the ability to hold on to the back of vehicles, and even helicopters, though that might be a pre-scripted thing.

You can watch the intro at the official site and at Yahoo Games as well. Got to love the guy’s humour sense as well. “We are all looking for that special someone.” Oh and if anyone is interested, the song that’s used in the trailer is “Arm In Arm (Shy Child Remix)” by The Boggs.

Apparently George W. Bush isn’t the only one who likes to rap about his politics in order to get some credit with the youth. It turns out that Putin likes to make some music as well. Granted he isn’t as good as George, but still an “A” for the effort.

And of course, just like with the other video, the users on YouTube don’t know how to behave when a humour/sarcastic video clip gets posted. Not really surprising, but still very sad.

Thanks goes out to Benjamin for pointing this one out to me. Some of you might already know User Friendly, but I imagine that most of you won’t since it’s a very geeky comic. And by very geeky, I really do mean it, some jokes might just go past you without noticing them if you don’t know technical stuff.

User Friendly - I’m Bored

But today’s strip is just pure brilliance, and really mirrors what my day was like today. Lots of web work (the boring kind, where you resize images and add text to webpages) and quite a bit of boring print work as well. But wahey for the comic!
