I think that I’ve just spent almost a whole day on maintenance and updating of various things that I run slash am responsible for the tech side of things. Since this is being posted on my blog, I’ll start with my blog. Other than being able to look at new spam comments every hour or so in Akismet, I added two new things to the blog.
Both of them can be seen on the individual post pages(the page that comes when you click on a post name, or on comments). They are related posts, which show… uhm, related posts and the other thing is gravatar support, so if you want a shiny avatar to show up on your comments go get a (gr)avatar.
And then there’s updates to SGN, or rather its server. Mostly technical stuff, but I fixed the email server again, upgraded PHP and Apache to the latest versions. Changed cpanel and whm to “current” releases and updated it as well. Didn’t notice anything new to be honest, apart from a slightly increased loading speeds and slightly reduced resource usage.
I am also finally thinking about ordering that MacBook that I’ve always wanted but was never nuts enough to order. More details about that on SGN.
