Yes, you heard it right. Joss Whedon’s Firefly is comic back. Albeit not in a TV format, or even a movie, but a comic. I still say it’s better than nothing, and am looking forward to getting my hands on these comics. Even though I’m not even a comic’s guy. At all.

Joss Whedon’s Firefly Comics

Publicist Jeremy Atkins and editor Scott Allie(both from Dark Horse Comics) confirmed that Joss Whedon’s Firefly would see a sequel series published. They will most likely take place prior to the Serenity movie, likely after the Firefly TV series. Whedon and Brett Matthew will pen the comics while Will Conrad and Adam Hughes will be responsible for the artistic side of them. The estimated time of arrival is this September.

Just saw an amazing picture set on English Russia. Which by the way is a great site, and no it isn’t for Russians, not at all. It’s a great site for everyone actually. While yes, it is most(exclusively(?)) about Russia, it has some really interesting things.

Russian Underground HDR

And this series of HDR images from Russos are excellent. So many great images from parts of the underground where most people don’t even have access to. What more can I say? Go and check it out.

Note: the page might be slow/not load at all, as I’ve noticed that it has been posted on digg.com as well, so their servers are being dugg right now.

Babylon 5 News

Some good Babylon 5 news finally. J. Michael Straczynski has posted some new images at B5 Scripts webpage. And also some interesting bits of news about the upcoming B5 movies.

What it all basically comes down to is, if you want to see more B5, then this will be your last chance to show it. By going out and buying the new movies of course. Depending on how well the sales/rentals do, there might be more B5 after the upcoming movies, or there might not be any more.

Personally I’m very cautious about this, as much as I liked B5, I didn’t really like the last season nor the movies that came after it. So I guess we’ll find out if things have changed when the movies are released.

Got to love this movie. Just watched it a while ago and while it probably isn’t everybody’s thing, I loved it. The movie tells the story of the young Jables who is the black sheep in his family and decides to run away from home. He goes to California where he meets Kage. One thing leads to another, and they end up forming a band together known as the Tenacious D.

Soon thereafter they find out that Kage’s mother won’t pay for his rent anymore, and the Tenacious D set out on a quest to find a way to pay their rent. But first they must find the “Pick of Destiny” which will make sure that they win the “open mic” contest at a local bar.

While the movie might not be for everyone due to it’s “potty humour” it’s still a fun watch, especially if you are a fan of the D. The greatest band in the world.

Some Popomundo Art

Today’s post will be about the various pieces of graphical work that I have done over the years of playing Popomundo. For those of you who don’t know what Popomundo is, it’s an online web browser based game set in the real world where your character starts a music career. It’s a game where the players strive for fame and money in a virtual music industry basically.

That’s four of the eight or so album/single covers that my band, “Paranoid Android” has released in the game. All in all it’s a fun game, can get boring after a while, but that really depends on the person, I’ve been playing now for over 700 days and counting. Oh yeah and here’s the band banner as well.
